The higher education system in Ireland is divided into the university sector, institutes of technology, colleges of education, and private independent colleges. Let’s see them in detail:
a) Universities in Ireland: They are funded by the state; however, they operate autonomously. There are a total of 7 universities in Ireland, each offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various subjects.
